Mr Nagy is a dedicated trainer and teacher, holds multiple teaching qualifications, and is involved in a wide range of teaching activities.
Mathias has been the President-Elect of FORTE, a large, international educational organisation representing orthopaedic surgeons in training across Europe. As a member of the ex-com, I am instrumental in various activities such as organising educational meetings (Summit in Amsterdam, Summer school in Athens), visiting Fellowships across Europe, etc.

Mathias is a dedicated trainer and supervisor for Registrars and junior doctors; this includes assessment and feedback to learners with different backgrounds and levels, including diverse learning communities.

Past President-Elect of FORTE: The Federation of Orthopaedic and Trauma Trainees in Europe (FORTE) is a large European organisation. The main goals are the improvement of orthopaedic educational standards, enabling learning opportunities and promotion of colleague’s network throughout our members in Europe. In 2021-2022, Mr Nagy served as President-Elect and a member of the executive committee, instrumental in a variety of projects, including organising educational meetings and travelling fellowships across Europe.
Past President of the Fiscal Council of FORTE: In 2020, Mathias served as the President of the Fiscal Council of FORTE, which is an independent body ensuring that governance standards are met in this educational organisation.
Mathias was course convenor for suturing courses for junior doctors and medical students at Warrington Hospital. This involved the development of the course, teaching materials and assessment tool.

Mathias is a peer reviewer for BMJ Case Reports and Dove Press. He is Associate Editorial Board Member at the Open Orthopaedic Journal, he reviews and gives constructive feedback to submitted papers.
Mr Nagy was a speaker at numerous national and international meetings in Europa, Asia, Africa, South and North America. He presented on a range of topics, using different presentation styles and adapted to different audiences and cultures.
